🪣 Simple Preparation

Each bag mixes with:

✔ 1 gallon of water

✔ 10–15 oz boiled linseed oil (strongly recommended, not included)

Any boiled linseed oil from Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, or similar retailers works perfectly.

The paint can be used without linseed oil, but the finish may appear slightly lighter and the wood will receive less long-term protection.

Adding boiled linseed oil creates a deeper anthracite tone while improving water resistance and long-term durability.

📏 Coverage & Color Depth

Coverage varies depending on wood species, surface texture, and absorption.

A second coat is recommended on very light-colored wood, smooth planed surfaces, or highly porous wood.

It also builds a stronger mineral layer, enhances color depth, and creates a richer, more uniform finish.

🌲 A Living Matte Finish

No gloss.

No plastic shine.

No artificial coating appearance.

Just a deep matte anthracite finish that allows the natural wood grain and texture to remain visible while aging naturally with the wood.

Unlike factory-made coatings, Anthracite Gray responds naturally to light, weather, and the character of each wood surface.

In bright sunlight, subtle mineral undertones and wood grain become more visible.

Under overcast skies, in shaded areas, or during winter months, the finish develops a deeper, richer architectural anthracite appearance.

No two surfaces look exactly the same—just like real wood.

Its timeless contemporary character blends naturally with both traditional buildings and modern timber architecture, making it equally suited to cabins, siding, barns, fences, sheds, and other exterior wood structures.

A heritage paint that works with wood, not against it

This barn red heritage paint is based on the same simple principle that allowed old barns to last for decades:
protect wood without trapping moisture.

Unlike modern synthetic coatings, this paint does not form a rigid surface film.
It penetrates the outer wood fibers and remains breathable, allowing moisture to escape naturally.

That’s why:

  • it doesn’t blister

  • it doesn’t peel

  • it doesn’t crack into sheets

Instead of failing suddenly, the surface weathers gradually and develops a soft, natural patina.

👉 Why old barn paint didn’t peel

Natural ingredients, honest performance

This paint is made with:

  • mineral pigments (iron-based oxides, UV-stable)

  • plant starch and cellulose fibers

  • natural casein-based adhesion boosters

No solvents.
No plastics.
No heavy metals.

The pigments are fully mineral, meaning the color remains stable under sun exposure while aging naturally with the wood.

Coverage & natural finish

  • Covers about 322 sq ft per unit in one generous coat

  • Matte, non-shiny appearance

  • Breathable and microporous

Coverage may vary slightly depending on wood texture and absorption — this is normal with natural, mineral-based paint.
